How Disney Taught Us Everything We Know

Like most kids growing up, I was utterly obsessed with Disney movies. I loved the songs, the characters, and the fact that all Disney movies have a great message within their stories. Below are some of the lessons that Disney movies have taught us!

Never grow up. – Peter Pan
Don’t let your past dictate your future, but let it remind you of where you came from – The Lion King
Work hard and believe in your dreams – Cinderella
Be kind to the world around you – Pocahontas
True love is worth the wait – Cinderella
Be determined and you will find your fate - Brave
Never tell a lie, and always let your conscience be your guide – Pinocchio
Growing up can be difficult, but it’s rewarding – Bambi
Your parents just want the best for you – Finding Nemo
Always be loyal to your friends – The Fox and the Hound
Love comes in many forms; never judge a book by its cover – Beauty and the Beast
You can live with just the bare necessities – Jungle Book

Arguably one of the greatest things about the films is that the messages always transcend age. No matter how old you become, or what walk of life you’re on, there is always a Disney movie that you can relate to because the moral of the story seems to hit home. What were some of your favourites from Walt Disney classic films?
